1. The Hard Reality

• The results are not great because French players do not have high rankings right now.

• Ivan says: “A country like France does not deserve this.” But he says the team must accept it and work harder.

2. Moïse Kouamé: The Big Hope

• Moïse Kouamé (17 years old) is the best surprise of the tournament.

• He is very ambitious. After his first match, he said he wants to win the tournament. Some people think he is not humble, but Ivan likes his big dreams.

• Moïse is part of a very strong young generation born in 2009. Ivan believes they will be top world players by 2030.

3. The Girls: Good and Tough Moments

• Diane Parry played very well and reached the 4th round (round of 16). Ivan is very happy for her because she works very hard.

• Ksenia Efremova (17 years old) lost in the first round of the junior tournament. She had too much stress after playing with the adults the week before. Ivan told her to stay calm and not compare herself to anyone.

• Loïse Boisson lost early, but Ivan is not worried. He thinks she has a great physical level and will return to the Top 100 very fast.

4. Arthur Fils and Wild Cards

• Arthur Fils could not play the tournament because of a bad back injury from Rome. Ivan hopes he will be ready to play on grass at Wimbledon.

• Choosing players for the US Open Wild Cards (invitations) will be a difficult problem because many French men have similar levels.

5. The Italian Model

• Italy has many players in the top rankings. Ivan says Italy does not use a central federation system. Every top Italian player trains with private coaches or their parents.

• To help French players, the French Federation will create more small tournaments (Futures) in France next year. This helps young players win points without spending money on travel.
